Rare Disease Day 2025
Illustrated Booklet
30 May 2023
By IFPA
In 2023, GRAPPA published new guidelines for the treatment of psoriatic arthritis. People living with psoriatic disease must be empowered to take an active role in managing their condition.
Together GoodCare project team and with support from IFPA Advocacy Ambassador Karina Andrea Chavez, we have created the Psoriatic Arthritis and Children Awareness Booklet.
Psoriatic Arthritis can have a significant impact on children. The family is a great support to help with changes in habits and to help young people and children understand their Psoriatic Arthritis Journey.
In children and young people living with PsA, everyday tasks like starting the day are a major challenge because of morning stiffness and fatigue. Psoriatic Arthritis involves swelling and pain in the joints making it difficult for them to move forward and participate in daily activities. Together with a team of illustrators, we came together to develop the PsA booklet to support caregivers and young people living with PsA.
If you would like a copy of the book and or would like to translate it to your native language please reach out to IFPA Communications Team. And update us with the translated material so we can share it Worldwide.
