Thanks to enthusiastic participation from our funders, IFPA was able to award an extra round Solidarity Fund grants in 2022. In this exceptional application call, IFPA members submitted proposals based on 2022's theme: Mental Health.
Three organizations were granted funding.
APAPSO Perú is launching a new program that will enable patients to deploy their own human resources. The program, developed with the suport of two psychologists and directed by 14 patients, will help people living with the disease learn to cope healthily with prejudices, and come to terms with their illness.
In 2021, SAPSA received a Solidarity Fund grant to deliver a series of mental health webinars, In 2022, the work continues with a new project to make the recorded sessions available on Youtube and SAPSA’s website. Online distribution will allow the learnings to reach more widely, and will even advertize the South African suppport group to new participants.
SPOEX is attending EADV 2022 in Milan. Knowledge and insight gained from the conference will be used to operate a solarium clinic for people living with psoriasis and exema in Iceland.
