I have been living with psoriasis for more than 12 years and I have received more misdiagnoses than an accurate diagnosis. I have experience navigating cultural tropes about psoriasis such as this condition having been resulted from “karma” (through my south Asian heritage) as well as an independent adult living abroad for work and growing into my own skin. Having tried a range of treatments, I have come to embrace the values of respect for different courses of action. In my full-time job, I work in environmental advocacy.
