Psoriatic Disease and Comorbidities

Psoriatic disease is a chronic, painful, and disabling condition that affects the entire body. Far more than a skin condition, it is a serious, lifelong disease with systemic inflammation that can lead to multiple health complications. It is linked to serious comorbidities such as heart disease, diabetes, mental health disorders, and more, creating a domino effect where one condition worsens another. Recognizing these connections is crucial to ensuring early diagnosis, comorbidity screening, and treatment with a holistic approach to improve long-term health. On October 29th, the global community comes together to act, raise awareness, and advocate for better care. Your involvement can help stop the domino effect and reduce the burden of psoriatic disease and its related conditions. Together, we can make a real difference! About the campaign

IFPA presents World Psoriasis Day. Each year, the global community unites to raise awareness and call for action in support of people living with psoriatic disease. World Psoriasis Day has been celebrated on October 29th for more than a decade. Today, World Psoriasis Day is observed in over 70 countries.

Psoriatic Disease and Comorbidities

This year, we focus on the serious comorbidities linked to psoriatic disease, such as heart disease, diabetes, mental health, and many more. Psoriatic disease is more than a skin condition—it is a lifelong, systemic disease that can lead to multiple health complications, creating a domino effect on overall health.

To support this effort, we are providing key resources, including our mental health and diabetes reports, with an upcoming cardiovascular disease (CVD) report and more materials on the way. Join us in exploring these resources and learning how we can take action to stop the domino effect of psoriatic disease and its related conditions.
