I have had psoriatic diseases since I was 4 years old. I used to have it more than 10-20% of my body covered. During my pregnancies, I saw a dramatic improvement in symptoms. This motivated me to explore treatments beyond topicals. Thanks to biologics, I have achieved clear skin for many years, and I am now experimenting with dose reduction.
I am a professional patient advocate in the Netherlands. Through IFPA's Ambassador program, I will gain more knowledge about the disease and able to use my voice abroad. The patient voice is unique, and valuable. I want that voice to be heard.
In addition to my work with IFPA, I am a trained EUPATI Fellow. In the Netherlands I coordinate all activities about quality and patient representation at our patient organization. I participate in various projects like guidelines, research and now also on a project on biomarkers. I am the writer of the study "Freedom of Disease Psoriasis."
