I was diagnosed with psoriasis in my early teens and also developed psoriatic arthritis in my twenties. In addition to the symptoms of psoriasis, I have suffered from misunderstanding and prejudice since psoriasis is not a well-known in Japan. I have been through various treatments and I am currently almost in remission.
Psoriatic disease has a great impact on us both physically and mentally. By sharing my experiences as an ambassador, I would like to encourage patients who are still struggling with psoriasis alone, and also expand the understanding of psoriasis in the society, so that people with psoriasis can live comfortably in our society.
