I am a practicing hematologist, principal of the Armenian Association of Hematologists, and Head of the Hematology and Transfusion Medicine Department at National Institute of Health. In my work I treat people who have cancer and other diseases of the blood.
I have had psoriasis for about 14 years. After the first symptoms appeared, I was very anxious and undecided. In the initial period, my communication and participation in various activities, including visits to the gym and swimming pool, were limited. Problems have arisen in the matter of diagnosis, and then in choosing the therapeutic methods. Only later was it possible to understand the situation. Accept the problem and continue the normal life cycle.
The medical environment in Armenia has several unique challenges. I want to become an ambassador who can unite this community and try to solve common problems together, hand in hand with patients and care providers, and make it easier and better for everyone who develops psoriatic disease.
