Annual Report 2021 - Slovak Psoriatic and Atopic Association
21 March 2022
By Miloslav Čubrík
Dear friends,
The previous year 2021 was extremely sad and difficult for our association. In March 2021, the long-term president of our association, Mrs. Terézia Hurbaničová, died as a result of the coronavirus. A few days later, her husband died for the same reason.
Due to pandemic restrictions, participation in the funeral was extremely limited, so only a few of us were able to say goodbye.
Mrs. Terézia Hurbaničová has been the president of our association since its inception in 1993 and devoted a large part of her active life to it. We pay tribute to her memory.
Despite the difficult pandemic situation in our country and the death of our president, the activities of our association continued as far as possible. The association was led by vice president Mrs. Lubica Bergmanová.
In addition to activities aimed at strengthening the ties of our members, such as hiking trips, joint goulash cooking, boat trips, etc., our association organized activities for the general public.
In June, it was an international meeting with members of the Czech Psoriatic Association in the beautiful countryside on the border of our two states.
The "Skin Market" took place in October - a professional educational event that brings comprehensive professional information in the field of dermatology, organized under the auspices of the Slovak Dermatovenerological Society, where our association is a partner organization.
On the occasion of World Psoriasis Day, a several-minute shot informing about psoriasis and also about our association was broadcast in the mainstream news of the national television.
On November 13, 2021, the meeting of our association took place in the natural healing spa Smrdáky, at which the delegates of the assembly elected a new president as well as other members of the committee of our association.
Mrs. Lubica Bergmanová was elected as the new president, and Mrs. Eva Chrenková became the vice-president.
Mr. Miloslav Cubrik continues to represent our association in the area of international relations
The year 2022 is not easy for us - in connection with the unprecedented terrorism of Russia and the invasion of Ukraine, the explosion of bombs can be heard a few kilometers from our borders. The runway of the airport in Uzhhorod ends 50 m from our border.
Glory to Ukraine
