In April 2022, Epidermia received 2000 EUR to execute a project called Psoriasis+. Here is the project report.

Summary of project

Epidermia launched a campaign called ‘Psoriasis+’ about the comorbidities of the psoriatic disease. Epidermia organized a successful webinar about Depression and Psoriasis, in the frame of the Psoriasis + campaign. The main speakers were Mrs. Sabine Krüger- Krasagaki MD who is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at University of Crete / Dermatologist and Dr. Magda Tsolaki who is Neurologist / Psychiatrist, Professor of Neurology at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, President of the Hellenic Federation of Alzheimer's Disease and Congenital Disorders. The specialists guests talked about depression, as a comorbidity of the psoriatic disease and pointed out the impact of psoriasis on personal relationships and the impact on patients' quality of life. The audience asked the doctors questions live during the event.

Start and end date of project

The webinar was held on Tuesday 10 May 2022 in Epidermia’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/www.epidermia.gr ). 40 days before the event, Epidermia created digital poster, invitation and social media posts.

Project outcomes

The webinar was held in Epidermias’ facebook page, and it was open to all the patients, their family members and their caregivers, from all over Greece. The live event reached 15093 people with total impressions of 21438. The campaign of the Facebook event reached 59052 people and 790 registered for the event.

Next steps

The video of the webinar Depression and Psoriasis will be processed and uploaded in Epidermia’s YouTube Channel for all the patients in order to watch it whenever they wish.

During the year 2021, Epidermia launched a campaign called ‘Psoriasis+’ about the comorbidities of the psoriatic disease. This year, we wish to continue the campaign by focusing on the other comorbidities, such as Psoriatic arthritis. Psoriasis is not just a skin disease and this campaign aims to highlight the risk of comorbidities in patients living with psoriasis.

Psoriatic arthritis is the main comorbidity of the disease. The action Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis that will be part of the Psoriasis + campaign, will be held in the context of the celebration of World Arthritis Day, in October 2022. Epidermia is planning a webinar with guests specialized doctors, a dermatologist and rheumatologist respectively, as well as a patient-member of Epidermia.
