Activity 1: Sharing experiences between patients
On November 6th, APAPSO PERU organized the virtual activity: "Sharing experiences between patients". This event was broadcast live from our Facebook page and the topic was: “The challenges of psoriatic disease”.
Participants shared their experiences by telling how they felt when they were diagnosed with the disease, what it taught them, and how we joined with patients, family, friends, and doctors to demand a better life for those affected by psoriatic disease.
Two psychologists moderated this activity, which was highly valued by APAPSO members because we got more than 600 video views.

Activity 2: Virtual conversation: "Let's talk about psoriasis."
On October 23th we did the virtual conversation: "Let's talk about psoriasis", in which APAPSO's commitment to work together with patients and doctors to achieve a more inclusive world, with more empathy and understanding towards those of us who live with this disease and In addition, to demand from the health authorities of our country, our right to have a better quality of life.
This event was broadcast live from our Facebook page with more than 750 video views.
Renowned Peruvian professionals participated in the activity: the rheumatologist Dr. Denisse Toledo, the dermatologist Dr. Aldo Gálvez and the founder of APAPSO PERU, Karina Chávez. The expert journalist Anny Gamarra supported the moderation.

Activity 3: Illustrations to raise awareness for psoriatic disease
APAPSO PERU collaborated with Peruvian illustrators to create a series of illustrations to raise awareness for psoriatic disease, clarify misconceptions, and to highlight the impact it has on people living with it. In addition to spreading awareness about psoriatic disease, the project also aims to support those affected. Illustrations were shared through our social media channels (Facebook, Instagram) and in others digital media like magazines, newspapers, influencers with high viewers, so more people will be aware of psoriatic disease, show solidarity to those who suffer from it and little by little eliminate stigmas and prejudices.
We shared three(3) projects with illustrators about different topics: “Psoriasis and sex” (5.846 Facebook reach and 2.648 Instagram reach); “Myths about Psoriasis” (3.789 Facebook reach and 1.466 Instagram reach); and “Be informed about psoriasis” (4.664 Facebook reach and 2.322 Instagram reach) 33 publications reaching an audience of 155 thousand.
This initiative managed to get patients to join and share the illustrations among their family and friends, promoting empathy and understanding about the disease.
