World Psoriasis Day 2021 - Epidermia - Greece

The Panhellenic Association of Patients with Psoriasis and Psoriatic Arthritis Epidermia organized a campaign for the celebration of the World Psoriasis Day 2021. The aim was to spread information and build awareness of psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. The campaign included:

  1. Α Social Media Campaign during October 2021, with posts and stories on Epidermia’s facebook page and Instagram, in order to spread the World Psoriasis Day’s message “United-Now Act”.
  2. A Webinar about psoriasis, in which Greece and Cyprus were UNITED. The two countries that speak the same language were united for the World Psoriasis Day, for the first time. The main speakers were the Professor of Dermatology-Venereology of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Dr. Ioannidis, from Greece and the President of the Dermatological and Venereological Society of Cyprus Dr. Konstantinou. In addition, the webinar included a testimonial from a patient form Cyprus, Ms Georgia Zachariou. The webinar was attended live by 4800 people and the public asked many questions to the speakers.
  3. Publication of a Press Release. Plenty of very popular Greek sites and health sites published Epidermia’s press release, which was referring to the message of Word Psoriasis Day, along with Epidermia’s actions.
  4. Radio Interviews. Members of the board of Epidermia, and Professor Ioannidis Dimitrios (who was a main speaker in our webinar) gave 3 radio interviews in 3 popular national radio stations about psoriasis, the message of Word Psoriasis Day and Epidermia’s actions.
